Important Notice: This Territory Partner Privacy Policy explains how Property4U.ng ("Property4U", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of users who register as Territory Partners (Sales Associates). It supplements the general Privacy Policy of Property4U.ng.

1. Who We Are

Property4U.ng is owned and operated by Real-Estateconnect.ng. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the Territory Partner program.

2. Data We Collect from Territory Partners

When you register and apply as an Territory Partner, we collect:

  • Identity data: your first name, last name, email address, and phone number;
  • Verification data (KYC): your National Identification Number (NIN), a copy or image of your government-issued ID, a selfie photograph, and your contact address;
  • Account data: your username, password (stored only as a hash), referral code, referral relationships, and account status;
  • Application data: the status and history of your Territory Partner application; and
  • Activity data: your referrals, posted listings, earnings records, and dashboard activity.

3. Why We Process Your Data

We process Territory Partner personal data to:

  • verify your identity and eligibility for the Territory Partner program (NIN, government ID, selfie, address);
  • create and administer your Territory Partner account and referral network;
  • calculate and pay commissions;
  • communicate with you about your application, account, and the program (including approval and rejection decisions by email);
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and fake accounts;
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • improve the Platform and the Territory Partner program.

Our legal bases include the performance of our agreement with you (these Territory Partner Terms), compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and fraud-free platform, and your consent where applicable.

4. Verification Documents

Your NIN, government ID, and selfie are collected solely for identity verification and program integrity. Access to verification documents is restricted to authorised staff involved in application review, and they are retained only for as long as necessary for verification, audit, and legal compliance purposes.

We do not display your verification documents, NIN, or address publicly. Your public Territory Partner profile shows only your name, username, referral statistics, and approved listings.

5. Sharing of Your Data

We may share Territory Partner personal data:

  • with service providers who host our infrastructure, deliver email, or store files, under contractual confidentiality obligations;
  • with regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where required by law;
  • with other users to the extent inherent in the Platform (for example, your name on listings you post or on the public Territory Partner directory); and
  • where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Emails and Communications

As an Territory Partner you will receive transactional emails relating to your account, including email verification codes, welcome messages, application status updates (received, approved, or rejected), and important program notices. You may opt out of newsletter-type communications at any time, but essential account and application emails cannot be disabled while your account is active.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and afterwards only as needed for audit, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal retention requirements. Verification documents may be retained after account closure where required by law or to protect the Platform against fraud.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect Territory Partner data, including access controls, hashed passwords, and restricted access to verification documents. No system is perfectly secure; you are also responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
